This Privacy Policy explains how MavviMood Team ("MavviMood", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use the MavviMood app and related services (the "Service"). The Service is intended for users aged 17 and older.
1) Information We Collect
A. Information you provide
- Account information: name, username, email address.
- Customer support: messages you send to support (and attachments you choose to provide).
- User content: photos and metadata you choose to upload, such as style categories, occasion tags, and wardrobe details (brand, color, cost).
B. Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, OS version, language, identifiers (where permitted), app version.
- Usage data: interactions with features and aggregated usage statistics.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data.
- Location: approximate and/or precise location, only if you allow it.
C. Cookies and similar technologies
When the Service includes web-based components, we may use cookies and similar technologies (which may include web beacons/pixels) for login/session, preferences, and reliability/analytics. You can control cookies in your browser/device settings.
2) How We Use Information
- Provide and maintain the Service (accounts, syncing, core features).
- Personalize your experience (preferences, organization).
- Improve the Service (debugging, analytics, feature development).
- Security and fraud/abuse prevention.
- Customer support and communications.
- Legal compliance and enforcement of terms.
3) Photos, Face Data, and Biometric Information
- The Service is not designed to perform face recognition or create biometric identifiers.
- We do not use your photos/content for advertising or marketing profiling.
- We do not use your photos/content to train third-party models.
- By default, photos you add to your closet are stored locally on your device. If you choose to upload photos (for example, to use optional automated processing), they are transmitted to and processed by our infrastructure as described below.
4) Optional Automated Processing (Including AI-Like Features)
Some features may offer automated processing of photos or text you choose to upload (for example, to generate categories, tags, summaries, or wardrobe insights).
- Processed on MavviMood-controlled infrastructure (our own servers).
- No third-party sharing of your uploaded photos/text for this processing.
- Not published: we do not distribute your uploaded content.
- Deleted after processing: we perform one-time processing and remove uploaded content from the processing environment immediately after completion, except for results you choose to save in the app.
- User control: you decide whether to upload and whether to use generated results.
6) International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
7) Security
- Encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate
- Access controls and least-privilege practices
- Periodic security reviews/audits
- Backups and recovery measures
No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- Account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days, unless legally required otherwise.
- Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
- Support communications: up to 6 months.
9) Your Choices and Rights
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/object, or withdraw consent (where applicable).

10) Children
The Service is intended for users aged 17+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
